White Water Rafting

There is no denying it - the Zambezi provides the best rafting trip on the planet! The mighty Slambezi is one of the reasons that so many adrenalin seekers visit Victoria Falls. You'll crash through some of the biggest commercially run rapids in the world (grades 3-5) while taking in the breathtaking scenery of the Batoka Gorge. Jungle Junction only recommends the best companies, with the best guides and the best value for money - Certainly can't be missed!

White Water Rafting Multi-day Trip

If you are keen for the ultimate thrill then a multi-day trip along the Zambezi is it! After a full day of rafting, you'll set up camp on a beach in the Batoka Gorge. After dinner you can gaze into the campfire and down a few 'cold ones' while talking about the day's thrills before you settle in for the night. Rise to a big breakfast, and the crazy adventure starts again! Perfect for a group (4+ persons) travelling together.

5,4,3,2,1, BUNGI

The Victoria Falls Bungi Bridge is 111 Mtrs of pure African adrenaline and still one of the highest bungi bridges in the world! The bridge itself forms the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia and has it's own little piece of history for being a major part of Rhodes' Cape to Cairo railway. After screaming, crying and thanking God that the elastic is still tied to your ankles, you'll bounce around to the sites of Victoria Falls and the Batoka Gorge.

River Boarding/Boogie Boarding

For those of you wanting to catch the perfect wave that never breaks, this is the best! Begin your day by grabbing a board, slapping on some fins and learning some tricks with your qualified guide before heading down into some HUGE walls of water. This can be combined with a rafting trip. No experience necessary but if you're a surfer, this is a must!

Kayaking

Come and play with Nico Chassing, Steve Fisher and other World-class international freestyle paddlers as they guide you on your kayak trip of a lifetime. Beginner, intermediate, advanced and freestyle kayaking courses available as well as full day and multi day trips. All of this on one of the world's best kayak rivers - come and see why so many of the best international kayakers like to consider the Zambezi to be home! Big rapids, flat pools, warm water, sunshine - what could be better? We can arrange accommodation for you in Livingstone if you want to do a course.

Jet Boating

Livingstone's newest thrill! Jump in the NZ built, specially designed boat and get up to speeds of almost 90 km per hour! Sounds impressive you say… now imagine doing that for 40 minutes while buzzing inches away from rocks and doing full 360 degree spins! The choice is yours to either drive out through the picturesque villages of Mukuni and Machenge or helicopter out and over the Victoria Falls.

Abseil Zambia

This is definitely not for the faint-hearted! Your morning commences with the Highwire (a zipline) across the width of the Batoka Gorge. You then learn the basics of abseiling/rap jumping down a 100m cliff face … and then after lunch, the GORGE SWING (there is only a few other places in the world where you can do this!). This is one of the best value for money activities in the entire area as all activities can be done as many times as you wish in the day.

Sunset Cruise (or Booze Cruise)

Jump on the pontoon style boat and grab your first of many drinks. The boat cruises up the Zambezi River between the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park (Zambia) and the Zambezi National Park (Zimbabwe) where hippos and crocodiles are plenty. Often there are sightings of giraffe, elephant, rhino, zebra and various antelope… especially after a few more drinks! Snacks on the boat and full barbecue dinner afterwards. Be sure to bring your camera, great value for money!

Microlighting

Without a doubt, the best way to view the Victoria Falls from the air! A microlight has been described as "a bike with wings" and certainly provides for superb uninterrupted views. It's just you and the pilot up there with a camera attached to the wing (awesome photos!). 15 or 30 minute flights.

"Flight of Angels" (helicopter)

Chopper flights over the majestic Victoria Falls and Batoka Gorge while zig zagging above some of the best scenery in Africa. For those of you that want a bit more machinery around you than a microlight, this is the next best thing (and you can bring your own camera). 15 or 30 minute flights.

Walking Safaris (Mosi-Oa-Tunya Park at the Falls)

The half-day safari includes a game drive to and from the walking area - then hold your breath and be as quiet as possible as you tip toe up to giraffe, elephant, zebra, rhino, buffalo and all of the other wild critters! Certainly an amazing experience and not to be missed! Trip includes brunch and softies in the morning or sundowners and snacks in the afternoon. The two-hour safari includes drinks but no food.

The Okavango Delta (Botswana)

'The Delta' is one of the highlights of most trips to Southern Africa and shouldn't be missed since this is really as close to living in the wild as most of us will ever get! Days are spent skimming through the water in a mokoro (traditional dug-out canoes). From here, you'll explore the terrain, the water life and search for the nightly bush camp. The afternoons are taken up walking through the wilderness with your knowledgeable guide in search of all the treasures of the bush. Two nights/three day trips are recommended.
